Export Survey Data

Survey exports are designed to avoid direct identifiers such as names, IP addresses, or timestamps. Choose an export format below. States with fewer than 5 responses are excluded from all exports to help protect individual privacy.

Individual Responses

One row per survey response. Useful for custom analysis or filtering. States below the privacy floor are omitted from exports.

  • Location — country, state
  • The abuse — age started, sex trafficking, ritual abuse, ongoing/duration
  • The abuser — gender, relationship, age range, religion, race
  • The survivor — gender, race
  • Disclosure — told someone, who, gender, felt believed, age disclosed, after-telling responses
  • Justice — reported, CPS, police, prosecuted, trial, jailed

State Averages

One row per state. Percentages for boolean fields, most-common value for categorical fields, and means for numerics — great for state-by-state comparisons.

  • state, response_count
  • Abuse — most common age started, % trafficked, % ritual, % ongoing, avg duration (months)
  • Abuser — most common gender, association, age range, religion, race
  • Survivor — most common gender, race
  • Disclosure — % told, % believed, avg age disclosed
  • Justice — % reported, % CPS/police involvement, % believed/helped, % prosecuted, % jailed

Data use & attribution

These exports are provided for research, advocacy, and journalism. If you publish findings derived from this data, please cite Stronger in the Light™ and link to strongerinthelight.org. Do not attempt to re-identify individual respondents. Survey exports omit timestamps and IP addresses to reduce the risk of linking a record to a specific person or device.
